I like Abana Realty because of the Atmosphere.  The first impression is what determines if a person comes back or not. When you walk in the Building at Abana, the receptionist is very friendly, calls you by name, and offers assistance.  Then you pass by other agents, they greet you with a smile and let you know that they care.  I feel the presence of God in this place and there is a genuine caring and love around here.  A lot of people say they love God but mistreat His people. I feel that I am in a good place here at Abana Realty.

Abana Realty offers the marketing, technology and support I need to function as an effective, productive Realtor.  I appreciate their level of professionalism and the support I receive from the staff and Brokers. How often can a Realtor say their Broker personally went out to help a client while they were out of town?  Well I can!  My Broker never mentioned it to me...it is just what he does to help me be successful. Although Abana is continuously growing I still feel I have the one on one support I need from the company President and the managing Broker. The office staff is outstanding as well.  They offer a smile in the most trying of times and their personal and professional support as needed. Early in life I always wanted to be independent and own my own business. It was clear to me that in order to get the biggest piece of the pie you had to be in the front of the line which is where the business owner sits.  After owning my own business for several years the opportunity to become a Real Estate Agent was presented to me. A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE

One day you wake up and think that your life is moving along on track and that all is normal. You are 50 years old, been with the same retail company for almost 30 years , and are planning to work another 10 years for a full retirement. Well-THINGS DO CHANGE!!! Along comes a forced buy-out and early retirement. WHAT TO DO???

After sitting at home for an unspecified period of time starring at the T.V. and walls you must make a decision. Either, 1. Give up, or 2. Pull yourself up by the boot straps and join the world again. DECISION-Pull yourself up by the boot straps and get moving!!!

Deciding that I did not have 30 more years to give to retail, (imagine an 80 year old little man asking you if you want socks with those shoes or if you want fries with your hamburger!!!!), I decided that I would go to real estate school and learn how to sell real estate. Imagine my surprise when I learned that the real estate school did not teach you how to sell real estate, but instead taught you how to pass the real estate test.

Upon passing the real estate test, WHAT NEXT??  Enter Paul Holley and Danny Brown, from Abana Realty. They came to one of our meetings at Don Williams Real Estate School. I listened to what they had to say and went to see them the next week at Abana Realty. They said that they would accept me if I was willing to work hard and attend the FREE technology and personal marketing classes. 

Keep in mind that my daughter, Samantha, knows more about the computer than I do, mainly because when I went to school the only computers around were as big as a school room!!!  Patience is one of the biggest virtues of Abana Realty and that was my saving grace. They let you move at your own pace and do not pressure you. Training is the next greatest virtue of Abana Realty. They are about the only real estate company around that offer rookie training (this is where you actually learn how to sell real estate).  You are always welcome to sit in on classes as often as you feel that you need a refresher course.  Paul Holley the broker or Dale Eads, the CEO, always have their doors open and have always been supportive.  The management and support staff have always been there to answer any questions that arise about real estate. Also, my fellow realtors have also offered their advice and support without demeaning you as a person!!!!  We call ourselves the Abana Family.

Each year since joining Abana my total sales have increased. This would not have been possible without the support of the Abana Management and Staff.

Looking back, the day that I chose real estate as my new career was the best decision that I have ever made. It offered me the opportunity to make an endless salary, make my own schedule and have time for the most important things in my life-MY FAMILY. At my old career they always kept saying to work smarter not harder.   Well, I finally learned how to do that-GET A NEW CAREER.

As a new licensee, I interviewed with five real estate agencies before choosing Abana. I am a particular person and it is very important to me about the associations that I make both personally and professionally. Abana already had a leg up on other agencies because I didn't feel like anything was being hidden from me.  Information (particularly the compensation programs!) about the company was easily found on the internet, I didn't have to wait forever to meet with the broker and I felt very comfortable and welcome the first time I walked through the door. Even before I officially came to Abana, I thought it was a different kind of place.  Now that I've been an agent for a while, I know that it is.  The environment is one where agents are supported, encouraged, educated,  coached, mentored and yes - even sometimes warned about the challenging  world of real estate.  Agent-to-agent relationships are incredible. It's uncommon to find so many people that will take the time out of their busy schedules to help in you any way they can.

We all know Dorothy's famous line from The Wizard of Oz - and here's my twist on it:

"There's really no real estate agency like Abana Realty!"

Everyone at Abana has given me everything I need to become a successful Realtor.  Everything includes marketing advice from Dale our CEO, classes from Paul, our broker, assistance from the staff members, and encouragement from my fellow Realtors.  I should also include the in-house mortgage lenders, American Home Mortgage, and Preferred Title.  In sum total, everyone has been there to answer my questions and lend their support to making my second career more successful than the year before.  Thanks to them all.

The answer is quite simple.  Abana's approach isn't to load its company with a gazillion agents and get rich off tech and office fees while only catering to the needs of its top 1% agents while making it virtually impossible to compete against the same.  Rather, Abana really takes an attractive approach to take the time and tools necessary to get all of its agents profitable for themselves and the company.  I see it as a win-win situation.  And that is enough for me.  Have a great day!

I actually dreaded going to the office that I was with, when one day I received a letter from Paul Holley and after interviewing with him I decided to move my license to Abana Realty. It was one of the best career moves I ever could have made.  Working with the people at Abana is a Pleasure!  While my wife's 2 year battle with an illness has kept me from working as much as I need, I actually miss the days I don’t get to come in.  My hat is off to Dale Eads and Paul Holley for their selection of the Abana Family Members and the always pleasant atmosphere they create.  I look forward to working successfully with The Abana Family for years to come.
